Food was standard plane food. Staff, while professional, were not particularly friendly and I had the impression that few more on every flight would make some difference. In flight entertainment could be better, but works OK, no issues.

うん! You need to test yourself with immediate feedback. Get recordings off of Forvo or Rhinospike with words that are different by only one sound (beach/bitch, 例えば) and quiz yourself on them with Anki (“is this recording beach, or bitch?” If you do enough tests, your brain will rewire itself relatively quickly (the study I cited above taught Japanese speakers to hear Rock/Lock in 3 20-minute sessions)

Stu / August 25, 2009I think the only app I paste into from the web is OpenOffice and it has a keyboard shortcut to paste unformatted text, Ctrl-shift-v -> u, and that works in both writer and calc. Not worth the overhead of another app to maintain, so I pass on this one.Reply
